WHY DENTAL IMPLANTS
More than a cosmetic fix.
Missing teeth aren’t just about appearance. They affect how you eat, how you speak, how your jaw ages, and — for many of our patients — how confident you feel in your own life.
⌣
Eat what you love
Steaks, apples, crusty bread. Implants give you up to 90% of natural biting force — dentures give you about 25%.
◌
Speak clearly
Fixed implants don't slip or click. No worrying mid-sentence about whether your dentures are about to move.
◈
Protect your jawbone
When teeth are missing, the jawbone shrinks. Implants stimulate the bone the way natural roots do — preserving your face shape.
∞
Built to last
With proper care, modern implants can last 20+ years — many of our patients are still on the implants we placed in the 2000s.
— REAL RESULTS
One patient, one new smile.
From missing and broken teeth to a complete, confident, natural smile.

WHY WATERLOO DENTAL
Heritage, not hype.
There are newer practices in Lanark with sharper marketing. There aren’t any
with our track record. We placed our first dental implants when the technology
was new in Scotland — and we’ve been refining it ever since.
01
Five Decades of Caring for Lanark
Three generations of Lanark families have come through our doors. Our team know the area, its people, and its expectations.
02
Three Generations of Implant Experience
One of the first practices in Scotland to offer dental implants. Decades of placed cases — including the complex ones that newer clinics refer out.
03
Everything under one roof
Planning, surgery, restoration and aftercare — all in our Lanark practice. No referral chains, no being passed between specialists.
04
Honest case selection
Not everyone is a candidate for every implant treatment. We tell you what's right for your case — including when a simpler option is the better one.

Had a tooth extraction today and was very nervous, but Milda made me feel relaxed and at ease. She explained the procedure prior to the removal of the tooth and carried it out very quickly and with no pain. I actually said is that it out. As always reception staff are friendly and accommodating when required.Posted on Google![]()

BEFORE YOU DECIDE
What patients ask first.
Still wondering?
Ask us anything on 01555 662220 — or bring your questions to a consultation.
Most patients are surprised by how comfortable it is. Placement is done under local anaesthetic, and the majority tell us it was easier than a routine extraction. Sedation is available if you're anxious, and we'll talk you through every step beforehand.
With good care, modern implants routinely last 20+ years — many of the implants we placed in the early 2000s are still going strong. The crown or bridge on top may need replacing eventually, but the implant itself is designed to be permanent.
Very often, yes. Long-term denture wear can reduce jawbone density, but bone grafting can rebuild it where needed — and options like All-on-4 are specifically designed for lower bone volume. We'll assess this with a 3D scan at your consultation.
Implants are very rarely available on the NHS, and only in specific medical circumstances. For the vast majority of patients they're a private treatment — which is why we offer interest-free and extended finance to make them affordable.
A single tooth implant starts from £2,750; full-arch options (All-on-4) from £12,500. Your written treatment plan confirms the exact cost before anything begins — and there's no charge to discuss your options at consultation.
You're in good company — a large share of our implant patients describe themselves as nervous. We offer sedation, we never rush, and we treat at a pace that suits you. Many tell us afterwards it was nothing like they'd feared.
Typically 3–6 months from placement to final teeth, allowing time for the implants to integrate with your bone. You'll have temporary teeth throughout, so you're never left without a smile.
