We’re a long-established NHS practice in Lanark. Our patient list is currently full, and the typical wait for new patients is about two years. We do open new slots steadily, and we text every patient on the list every six months with their current position and an updated estimate.
Current wait: typically upto 2 years.
If you can’t wait two years for NHS, register privately and be seen within 7–14 days. Most plan patients still take up their NHS place when it opens — you keep both options.

YEARS AS LANARK’S NHS PROVIDER
Lanark's NHS dental capacity is limited, and we've been the area's NHS provider for over 50 years — so our list of registered patients is large. We absorb new NHS registrations as chair time opens up, typically when a new dentist joins or capacity expands. A wait of up to 2 years is the honest figure across most NHS practices in the area right now.
Our NHS list is currently full, with a typical wait of up to 2 years. You can call 01555 662220 any time and reception will check your position on the list.
Yes — call us. We'll see you privately for the emergency (a standard private emergency fee applies), and you keep your NHS waitlist position. We won't ever leave someone in pain waiting up to two years.
Yes — many waitlist patients do exactly this. Register as a Care Plan or private patient now to start routine care, and we'll move you to NHS when your slot opens. You don't lose your private investment — your Care Plan exams and treatment continue alongside.
